What is J5?

J5 stands for the five members of the Jennings family: Casey, Kerri, their sons Sundance and Joey, and their daughter Scout. J5 is the culmination of the wisdom and insight that Casey and Kerri have gained not only through competing at the highest levels of volleyball but also through raising three children in today’s youth sports landscape.

J5 is more than elite beach volleyball training — it’s a place where young athletes grow as players and as people. We provide world-class coaching while instilling the values of resilience, leadership, and discipline.

At J5, we believe youth sports should be a proving ground for life. Success in volleyball is not just about technique or physicality; it’s about mindset, work ethic, and character. We are deeply committed to helping every athlete who joins our program become the absolute best version of themselves — on the court and far beyond it.

Our coaching staff, led by directors Casey Jennings and Ryan Shaw, brings experience from the highest levels of the Olympic, professional, and collegiate game — but it’s our dedication to the full development of each athlete that truly sets us apart. We believe that while not every player will go on to compete at the elite level, every player deserves the opportunity to grow like one.
