Casey Jennings

I’m Casey Jennings, a former professional AVP and international beach volleyball player with a deep passion for the ABCs and fundamentals of every sport. Throughout my career, I’ve lived by a set of core philosophical pillars that continue to guide the way I coach and mentor athletes. I believe excellence starts with a strong foundation, and I emphasize the importance of mastering the fundamentals. Technical mastery leads to creativity, confidence, and freedom on the court.

My approach to coaching is holistic. It’s not just about skill development—I’m equally committed to building mental fortitude, emotional control, and confidence. I focus on helping athletes develop a resilient mindset, encouraging them to embrace failure as an opportunity for growth.  Above all, I believe in fostering a fun and engaging environment that sparks a lifelong love for the game and drives athletes to reach their highest potential, inside and outside of sport.

My Story

Casey Jennings is a multi-sport athlete whose journey began with 12 years of soccer, basketball through his 9th grade year, and skateboarding and snowboarding. His athletic career took off in volleyball, where he led his high school team, the Clark Chargers in Las Vegas, to a state championship. After being cut from a junior college volleyball team, Casey transferred schools, where he won a championship and earned MVP honors. He went on to compete at the NCAA level with BYU, where he helped his team win a National Championship and earned an honorable mention for his performance.

Casey’s professional beach volleyball career spans 15 years on the AVP tour, where he has earned 10 open victories, 8 AVP wins, and multiple FIVB medals, including a gold, silver, and bronze. He was ranked in the top 10 in the world and in 2008, he was ranked 8th, narrowly missing out on an Olympic bid due to USA teams ranked 1st and 7th in the world. Casey also briefly played with the USA indoor national team in 2011 but chose to focus on beach volleyball.

Throughout his career, Casey has been fortunate to be coached and mentored by some of the best in the world, and this has inspired his passion for the sport and commitment to giving back. Now, as a coach and mentor, Casey is dedicated to sharing the knowledge and experiences he has gathered over the years to help shape the next generation of volleyball athletes.

Beyond his career in sports, Casey’s true love and passion lie in his family. He married Kerri Walsh Jennings, a legendary beach volleyball player with 3 gold and 1 bronze Olympic medals. Together, they have three children: their son Joseph, born in 2009; their second son Sundance, born in 2010; and their daughter Scout, born in 2013--Kerri was five weeks pregnant when she won her third gold medal at the London Olympics.
